anyone know how to find the optimum batch size for sybase bcp in.
I have been running into problem with bcp in. I tried with 1000 and 500, the transaction log fills up.

I think it depends on the rowsize, log size of the db.
But I am looking for a formula sort of thing. An approximate calculation is also helpful.

I think it is problem in size of the tempdb. If the size of tempdb is increased, it would resolve your problems.
