I Would like to add the below.

1.Check whether the dataserver and backup server processes are running and are accessible.
2.Check whether the configured sybase engines are online.
3.Check whether all the databases are online.
4.Check whether the configured traceflags are active.

Great Idea and Initiation as well !
This would definitely save lot of manual effort from the DBA perspective and saves lot of time (in the sense money).This is undoubtedly a value addition.

My Input :


1. Check for the Database status and free space for each db, including logsegment.

2. Check for the Sybase Backup Server SYB_BACKUP...sp_who, SYB_BACKUP...sp_ps

3. Check for the Primary and secondry Node , with sp_companion in HA enviorment

4. Check for the long running transcations

5. Information about processes which are running in system have non zero physical read and cputime, at that time.

6. Check for the zombie spids( spids having entries in syslogshold, but not in sysprocesses)

7. Information for some monitor config values which can hamper db server performance, such as number of connection, locks, number of open dbs, objects, proc cache size, for seeing the reuse and max usage.

8. Check for any existing blocking at that time

9. Check for the Log Suspend status for any database

If you people, having some more thought, please include till this weekend.
