Sybase ASE OLE DB driver for MS SQL server unreliable
Hi There

I want to import data from a Sybase ASE 12.5.3 server into a MS SQL 2005 SP2 server using the Sybase OLE Db provider.
I have created the Linked server in SQL server.
When I query a table on Sybase in SQl Management studio, I receive only 1 record.
If I refresh the Linked server in SQL Man Studio, then suddenly all rows are returned, but after a shorth while only 1 row gets again returned.

The SQl statement I use is in the following format

SELECT * FROM linkedserver.db_name.dbo.table_name

Can anyone tell me why this occurs?

The version of the Sybase OLE DB provider I use is : 2.70.0.32

Regards

Marnus

Could you please check if there are any older versions of the ASE OLE DB Driver. Please unregister and remove old ASE OLE DB Driver files if any.

RE: Sybase ASE OLE DB driver for MS SQL server unreliable
That is the only version I have on the server.
The full product version is "12.5.1/P-EBF11786 ESD #02/02.70.0032"
The catalog of the linked server also display only 1 database, but after I refresh the linked server in Management studio, I get all the databases.
