I would like to check what values are set for connection parameters, like for a connection
dsi_keep_triggers is set on or off or say dump_load on / off, how much is db_packet_size. Is there a way to view current settings of a connection pl? I tried admin show_connection but it wont give these details.

I found this interesting when I was querying for something. Thought I could let you all know about this. Ignore if you already know this.

Say there are 2 tables user1 and user2 having a list of usernames.
I am here trying to retrieve all usernames in user1 that are not present in user2. Basically something like, user1 - user2

Say user1 has these values for username
a
b
c

User2 has
a
b
NULL

Now I wrote the below query

select username from user1 where username not in (select username from user2)

Your first glance at the query, you might think sybase will simply retrieve
c

Guess what....
Query will not return anything. 0 rows.

Because it has a null value on which it can apply NOT IN

I rewrote the query as below and it worked.

select username from user1 where not exists(select user2.username from user2 where user2.username =...
